Professional and compassionate therapy for adults and children in London
Hello and Welcome. I’m Swaliha Bax, an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) (Reg 397311) .
I work with adults and children in London and online working with a wide range of issues providing clients with the space to explore these with compassion, confidentiality and free of judgement.
People choose to start psychotherapy because of the struggles they face; often there is pain, sadness, suffering and loss with a sense of being stuck in it. It may be that you feel alone, unfulfilled, depressed or anxious or perhaps you have experienced a trauma which continues to affect you. We can work through these difficulties and others together safely.
I provide a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your difficulties, feelings and experiences.
If you would like a free 10-15 minute telephone consultation to discuss if therapy with me would be helpful for you please get in touch.
About Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a talking therapy which gives space and opportunity to talk and reflect in the presence of a trusted professional in order to work through experiences, thoughts and feelings free of judgement. It’s an introspective experience which in time gifts you with knowledge about yourself and your life experiences encouraging you to behave more deliberately and consciously.
Psychotherapy is also an experience of truly being seen and heard. For many there is a cathartic release from speaking and hearing oneself aloud in a therapeutic setting and this alone is healing. For others, what is beneficial is an opportunity to slow down, gain perspective and make new discoveries about oneself.
This powerful experience can be transformative as it leads to a better understanding of where your emotions and behaviour come from and a better understanding of yourself.
